The SMI Aussie Daddy Long Legs™ Kit by Slot Me in™ is a 100% Australian made using 100% Australian materials product by Slot Me In™ that was developed for a short fall in design allowing connection of most Solidteknics™ cookware with twin (dual) equal sized handles to the SMI Aussie Flaty Tripod Head™ tripod cooking system. Most traditional camp ovens like our very own SMI Aussie Camp Ovens have a traditional swing over bale arm that allows the camp oven to be suspended from a tripod with a chain and hook over an open fire for cooking. As Solidtecknics™ cookware doesn’t have a swing over bale arm to allow it to be suspended from a tripod cooking system we went about and came up with the solution and developed our very own connection system for it so it could be.

The SMI Daddy Long Legs™ Kit comes complete with twin connecting return hooks made from solid 6mm round 304 stainless steel bar, our SMI Camp Oven/Fire Poker Tool™ made from 10mm round solid steel bar & pair of heavy-duty leather heat resistant safety gloves.

Each twin hook connector is located with the hooks placed through the handle openings of the Solidteknics™ base cookware (hook openings facing upwards after connecting) and the bow of the structure meeting in an arch at the centre with the corresponding equal part ready to be both hung off the hook of the SMI Aussie Flaty Tripod Head™.

The unique and original connecting hooks have a unique crank bend on each hook arm (4 bends in all) to allow them when hung for the lids to be easily removed or replaced on the Solidtekinics™ cookware below being suspended over FLAME ‘N’ COALS™.

The entire SMI Aussie Daddy Long Legs™ Kit weighs just 1.028kg consisting of the following items:
