The OZSPIT & BBQ™ 155 Slimline Stainless Steel Fire Tray/Camp Oven Base is a unique, innovative and original accessory that can be used as “fire tray” only if required or secondly form the basis of a rectangular “camp oven”, (additional accessories for “camp oven” use are required).

Made from 100% Australian materials and being 100% Australian made and owned it truly is the REAL AUSSIE LEGEND in over the fire cooking be it over flame or coals. The “fire tray/camp oven base” is made using 3mm thick 304 food grade stainless steel for a lifetime of use over “FLAME ‘N’ COALS™”.

As a “fire tray” it can be used as a self-contained “off the ground” fire to hold and burn small pieces of firewood or charcoal in as fuel source supported by the “backbone” of the over the fire cooking system the 20mm round “ground spike” (sold separately) where a ground fire is not permitted and when you don’t have a separate self-contained fire pit for use. The useable “fire tray” area measures 700mm L x 150mm W x 70mm H as an edged and contained fire body. An array of accessories by OZSPIT & BBQ™ such as our spit rotisseries, grills, BBQ plates, swing arms and much more can be used directly over the contained heat source (in the “fire tray” below) to cook with. Using the “fire tray” eliminates a “fire scar” on the ground and protects grassed and sensitive environments also “BACKYARD, BUSH or BEYOND™”.

The OZSPIT & BBQ™ 155 Slimline Fire Tray/Camp Oven Base also forms the basis of our original, truly unique and innovative OZSPIT & BBQ™ 155 Slimline “Camp Oven”. A separate removable dual vented lid with included spacer is required and there are also specialised trivets in the accessory range available to make a complete “camp oven” with an internal cooking area 700mm L x 150mm W x 120mm H. With an OZSPIT & BBQ™ trivet or 2 (it holds 2) the height enclosed is reduced 25mm to 95mm H as the trivet(s) keep the produce off the base by 25mm when used. Anything you can cook in a regular camp oven can be cooked in the OZSPIT & BBQ “camp oven” too. Expand your cooking boundaries and horizons by making bread, damper, roasts, baking, smoking produce, slow cooking or simply keep food warm in it.
