The OZSPIT & BBQ™ 155 Slimline Stainless Steel Dual Vented Lid & Spacer is a truly original, innovative and unique accessory to complement the OZSPIT & BBQ™ 155 Slimline Stainless Steel Fire Tray/Camp Oven Base. It neatly fits over the top of the “fire tray/camp oven base” and the “spacer” components are designed to hold the “lid” at the maximum spacing resulting in a depth of 120mm in the formed “camp oven”. With the use of 2 x OZSPIT & BBQ™ 155 Slimline Stainless Steel Trivets placed on the base of the “fire tray” produce can be placed inside the formed “camp oven” keeping it off the bottom while allowing heat to circulate evenly beneath resulting in traditional camp oven cooking over “FLAME ‘N’ COALS™”. With the trivets in place (in the “fire tray/camp oven base”) the depth of sealed cooking area is 95mm with length at 700mm and width being 150mm. 

The two unique ventilation “daisy wheels” on the top of the “lid” can be independently controlled to fully seal or be regulated to allow smoke and heat escape when required. A fantastic feature is the ability to smoke food in the “camp oven” by placing a small amount of smoking chips under the trivets on the base of the “fire tray/camp oven base” with the lid on and regulate the venting “daisy wheels” to suit for over the “FLAME ‘N’ COALS™” low n slow smoking and cooking. 

Of course, with the aid of the included “spring clamp” in the kit the “lid” can be held at any height above the “fire tray/camp oven base”, very handy if using it over a spit rotisserie cook up keeping rising heat from escaping and accelerating the cooking process while also being fuel efficient especially on windy days when heat is often hard to constantly maintain outdoors “BACKYARD, BUSH & BEYOND™”. It also works well as a rain lid over the cook up outdoors in light drizzly rain often encountered after the cook up has begun. Simply place the “lid” on your “ground spike” supported by the “spring clamp” over whatever OZSPIT & BBQ™ cooking accessory you’re using such as spit rotisserie, grill, BBQ plate etc if it begins to rain.
