These new SMI Aussie Camp Oven Fire Trivets™, 3 sizes (models 250, 300 & 375) like our existing SMI AUSSIE FIRE TRIVET™ (a flat pack hexagonal shaped model with folding legs), are designed to elevate your camp oven, frying pan, skillet, billy, kettle and even the perforated stainless steel trivet supplied with each SMI Aussie Camp Oven™ directly over “FLAME ‘N’ COALS™” for that true over the fire cooking experience which simply can’t be beaten. They combine perfectly too with our full range of SMI Oz Iron Kookware™ made to be used on all heat sources especially fire.
Each of the new 3 size SMI Aussie Camp Oven Fire Trivets™ (“fire trivets”) are specifically designed to fit inside each of the corresponding size SMI Aussie Camp Oven™ (“camp oven”) in an inverted or upright position when packed for storage or transit ready for their next use. The “fire trivets” are 100% Australian made by Slot Me In™ using 100% Australian materials, food grade 304 stainless steel in a 6mm round solid bar profile shaped into our innovative, unique and functional design.
Each “fire trivet” is modelled around an equilateral triangle and is elevated with 3 fixed legs to support your cookware directly over your campfire allowing you to position coals and embers to suit your cooking style underneath it. The innovative curved pattern design in the top support area allows even the smallest size of cookware items to be used and supported on any of the 3 size “fire trivets” in this range.
Strong, durable (they won’t rust being stainless steel) and lightweight they are a perfect addition for any serious cook over flaming coals. With the innovative storage design feature, they are easily accessible when required being stored inside your camp oven. They come in handy too keeping hot pots and pans elevated above table and bench tops preventing heat damage when serving directly from cookware.
