This new trivet is made from 304 food grade stainless steel in a 2mm thickness in the shape of a 6-petal flower based on a simple hexagonal geometric design with soft rounded outward radius curves, a bit of “art in steel” as to speak or rather stainless steel we should say. It’s 100% Australian made using 100% Australian materials by Slot Me In™.
Designed and intended primarily for use in the kitchen at home as a functional pot or skillet rest stand for supporting hot cookware on to protect bench top surfaces from damage or as a functional and attractive cake stand. It can also be used as a trivet inside a camp oven or on the base of a skillet/fry pan to elevate a roast or damper and allow even heat distribution all around, whilst preventing the bottom of the cook up from getting burnt.
It measures 192mm in diameter and has 12 supporting legs raising it to 28mm above a benchtop or base of a camp oven and weighs just 227grams. Its open design allows generous heat distribution around and through it and is easy to clean after each use either by hand washing or in the dishwasher.
