Following our release last year in December 2017 in “latest news” of the SLOT ME IN™ Aussie Volcano Chiminea Removable Vent Door™ we are pleased to announce 2 more choices of removable door options for the Aussie Volcano Chiminea™.
Both these new door options are made from the same steel as the chiminea body being 5mm thick BlueScope Xlerplate® Tru-Spec™ steel and are 100% Aussie made from 100% Aussie material just like SLOT ME IN™ is 100% Aussie owned. That’s a AAA for Australia!!!
There are no hinges to bind or maintain and when removed there is no indication of a door being there. This keeps the nice clean lines of the Aussie Volcano Chiminea™ unaltered. Two simple lugs on the rear of each door locate it, so when installed it will sit flat against the chiminea body with a full 25mm sealing overlap all the way around. They have to be lifted vertically to be removed and an ergonomic handle is incorporated in each door for this purpose. Note: care should be taken and heat resistant gloves used when removing or installing a door on or off the Aussie Volcano Chiminea™. Installation is simply the reverse procedure of removal, simply locate the lugs over the bottom edge of the opening in the chiminea and push down. Once installed they will remain in position even if a log inside rolls forward and rests against the door.
