Four years ago to this month back in August of 2016 we released our original 3 sided (four piece “slot” together) fire pit the EQUILATERAL FIRE PIT™ in 2 variations, “solid sided™” and “supaflow sided™”. Over the last few years we have been requested to make custom size variations of these 2 original models both smaller and larger. This new model is a smaller version of the original “Equilateral Fire Pit Solid Sided™” model. It’s in fact a 25% reduction in size of the original model it’s based on and will now be permanently available in our range.
Using the exact same grade, 350 HR BlueScope Xlerplate™ Tru-Spec™ steel and the same thickness of 6mm as the model it’s based on it’s made to go the distance and last a lifetime of fires. A true 100% Aussie made product using 100% Aussie materials by a 100% Aussie company Slot Me In™.
The unique design is based on an equilateral triangle just as our original model is and the scaling down in size allows for a smaller fire pit for use in small patio, yard or deck areas where a larger model may be too big. All the features of our larger model are carried over to this new model including the lowered ends allowing for drawing in of oxygen for a hot and efficient burning fire to all sit around and enjoy the warm ambience by. We haven’t forgotten about those who love to cook over a fire as well, later this month we will have 2 new combo grill / hot plate options that will be available for purchase for use specifically on this model.
Set up it measures 615mm W x 575mm D x 260mm H and weighs 24kg. It consists of 4 pieces in total, 3 sides and a drop in base. Most importantly “NO TOOLS OR FIXINGS ARE REQUIRED FOR ASSEMBLY” it just “SLOTS” together in a matter of seconds as our name suggests SLOT ME IN™. It packs “FLAT” too into the 4 pieces and can be stowed away when not in use, if so required.
So what’s with the name or rather the letters and numbers “XP6006” following the name EQUILATERAL FIRE PIT™? Good question and the answer is pretty simple really, “XP” standing for Xlerplate™ and “6006” being broken down to “600” for 600mm width size with the following “6” indicating the thickness of steel used which is 6mm thick. The hint here is that next month we will releasing a larger version of our original Equilateral Fire Pit™ Solid Sided™ model, so it’s going to need its very own code as well. This new larger model coming next month will be a whopping 25% size increase on our original model and be over a 1000mm wide, one awesome size fire pit and made from 8mm thick steel. Further next month also this new Equilateral Fire Pit™ XP6006 will be available in a 6mm thick 304 grade stainless steel option too called the Equilateral Fire Pit SS6006.
Important to note too is that our Equilateral Deck ‘N’ Patio Trolley™ & Equilateral Water Fillable Undertray™ both suit this new smaller model fire pit enabling it to be safely used on a timber deck when both are used together and the tray maintained full of water whilst the fire is burning, at all times.
Keep an eye out also next month for another 3 new models of the Equilateral Fire Pit™ (3 different material options) based on this new size one that will all be offered as a package, including a brand new combo grill / hot plate, carry bag, our SMI MULTI-TOOL™ and heat resistant safety gloves designed specifically for camping.
