Released this month (after some little “sneak peep” posts on social media last month) an all new full grill is now available, the Slot Me In™ W469 Full Grill in two metal options, Xlerplate™ Tru-Spec™ steel and 304 18/10 food grade stainless steel are truly “ART IN STEEL”. Not just art though they are specifically designed for a range of our fire pits namely The Wedge Fire Pit™ models 450, 600, 900, 450XPWB, 600XPWB, 900XPWB, Tourer Fire Pit™, Wombat Fire Pit & Camp Cooker™, Aussie Explorer™ 500, Aussie Explorer™ 600 and The Wedge Fire Pit™ 500 (Deck ‘N’ Patio™).
Both are 3mm thick in their respective steel options and are 100% Aussie made using Australia’s finest steel too, by Slot Me In™. This new full grill has two stylish ergonomic handles flared out and up from the sides for easy lifting on or off the fire pit. It also has two downward folds on the opposite sides to the handles which enable it to be located on The Wedge Fire Pit™ 450, 600 & 900 base models without the need for cookware support bars. We took the letter W (from The Wedge Fire Pit™) and the numerals 4, 6 & 9 (from the models 450,600 & 900) in naming it W469 Full Grill just in case you’re wondering, probably boring information maybe but the Slot Me In™ W469 Full Grill certainly isn’t.
The two downward folds securely locate the Slot Me In™ Full Grill W469 on the very top edges (angled sides) of the 3 base model fire pits, Wedge Fire Pits™ 450, 600 & 900 as mentioned. This enables easy sliding along the top when in position to access the fire below for adding more fuel when required without the risk of it falling off or the need for total removal and replacement each time.
Made for a lifetime of cooking enjoyment the full grill will also support billy’s, pots, saucepans, skillets, camp ovens and other cookware. It can even be used directly over a ground fire with the addition of an optional pair of hot plate legs which we also manufacture and stock.
Precision CNC laser cut from a single piece of steel in the respective steel options it is then brake press folded for strength, form, function, durability and performance making it a must have accessory for your chosen model of Wedge Fire Pit™. All you have to do is decide which one, Xlerplate™ Tru-Spec™ steel or stainless steel option.
Another interesting and unique use or rather just the versatility of it is that that it can be used in a standard 600mm oven at home as a raised baking or roasting tray/trivet (with a full baking dish below to catch the fat dripping off meat roasts), so it’s not just for a fire pit it’s for the kitchen too. Oh by the way our Aussie Bush Oven & Smoker™ fits neatly on it too giving even more versatility of use.
Both steel option models measure 450mm L x 435mm W x 85mm H and weigh 3.5kg each and are 3mm thick.
