“THE HIVE™” SUPA FLOW™ Fire Pit by Slot Me In™ (SMI) is based on a regular hexagon shape, this six-sided fire pit consists of six uniquely vented sides in the shape of a hexagon (6 on each side, for a total of 36 in all) and an internal raised base.
It’s precision CNC laser cut from Australian 6mm thick BlueScope Xlerplate™ Tru-Spec™ by Slot Me In™ and consists of 7 pieces (6 sides and a base). It’s also 100% Aussie made using 100% Aussie materials and made for a lifetime of enjoyment outdoors by Slot Me In™.
This original and uniquely designed fire pit by Slot Me In™ draws on our heritage of design innovation and form of function. It simply “SLOTS” together as our name suggests, Slot Me In™, NO TOOLS OR FIXINGS ARE REQUIRTED FOR ASSEMBLY.
Inspiration for this design came from the hexagonal structure of the honeycomb cells made by bees in their hives, one of the strongest self-supporting geometric patterns used also in engineering design. Waz has captured a vision for a fire pit sure to be enjoyed in any INFIREDSCAPE™ to all gather around its warm ‘n’ cosy ambience.
The design is further enhanced with each adjoining side tapering softly downwards for both a softer ascetic look and function also. Oxygen is drawn in through these lowered edges enabling a super-efficient burning fire.
It measures 910mm W x 910mm L x 380mm H when set up and weighs 60.440 kg.
Primarily intended for a permanent set up in your “INFIRED” landscape outdoors it can also be stored away “FLAT” (42mm high, all 7 pieces) for use when required or for transit if being used as a focal camping fire pit too.
Over time outdoors it will “patina” from a steely dark grey/blue black to a vibrant yellow ochre then finally settle to a deep rich bronze red.
