Here at Slot Me™ In we manufacture 3 standard size wind rim cowls all from 304 2B matt finish 0.55 thick gauge stainless steel. Each of the three standard size wind rim cowls are designed to join a smaller inner flue and larger outer flue together at the top. The wind rim component is designed to prevent gusts of wind entering down the flue which can cause down draughts. There is also a top hat component inbuilt into the wind rim cowl which stops rain from entering down the flue.
Model 200/250 joins an inner 200mm diameter flue to an outer 250mm diameter flue
(350mm diameter overall x 240mm H and weighs 1.92kg)
Model 250/300 joins an inner 250mm diameter flue to an outer 300mm diameter flue
(420mm diameter overall x 240mm H and weighs 2.36kg)
Model 300/350 joins an inner 300mm diameter flue to an outer 350mm diameter flue
(470mm diameter overall x 270mm H and weighs 3.16kg)
From the three standard size wind rim cowls above all of our 5 size SMI Open Fireplace models are catered for.
As shipping is based on volume (they are a bulky product) the shipping weight is not the weight of the product as described in our shipping details rather used to scale/calculate our cost for the volume they occupy on our courier's transport service.
