The AUSSIE VOLCANO CHIMINEA™ “Panorama” model by SLOT ME IN™ draws its origins from the ancient Mayan and Incan chimineas of South America and later from Spain incorporating their principal functions which were used for heating and cooking. That’s where the similarities end and a new unique and modern twist of design features, functions, materials used, and manufacturing processes begins.

Precision laser cut from 100% Australian 5mm thick BlueScope XLERPLATE™ TRU-SPEC™ steel it’s 100% Aussie manufactured to handle the harsh elements of the great Aussie outdoors. It’s capable of burning a large hot fire to sit around and enjoy the warm ambience provided by it. It is ideally suited for use such as on the back deck or patio at home or in bistros, pubs, clubs, wineries, bars, cafes, man caves, princess palaces and anywhere a contained fire can be enjoyed outdoors. 

Being made from Australia’s finest steel it won’t crack, split, chip, burn out or crumble like cheap imported clay, cast iron or thin metal imported chimineas do after prolonged use, rather it will be there year after year to be enjoyed giving you real value for money.

Some great design features include inbuilt legs with 220mm of clearance under the fire body, so no separate clumsy stand is required, and it has an extremely low centre of gravity for safety with no possibility of it being knocked or bumped over. The fire burns on a sand bed in the base of the chiminea (20kg of which is included) and it can be used safely directly on a timber deck or patio. It comes complete with a solid door and a rain lid both of which are very handy when retiring for the night to securely shut down the fire and prevent any sparks or embers escaping. Also included are our AUSSIE INFERNO FIRE TONGS™, great for stoking the fire and positioning burning firewood and a pair of leather heat resistant safety gloves.

Some great accessories which can be purchased separately include an extended heavy-duty flu with flue rain lid, cookware hob and trivet, deck ‘n’ patio trolley (model DNPT700 minimum recommended size with the larger sizes also suitable) great for ease of repositioning your chiminea for use in multiple positions when required, sombrero cooking shelf, umbrella support stand (when not in fire use) and the one and only KOOKABOX™ attachment, an all-in-one grill, bbq, spit rotisserie, smoker, pizza oven, roasting & baking oven to name a few of its many functions. Dimensions are 1180mm H and 550mm W x 550mm D at the base of the legs & tapering up to 180mm W x 180mm D at the top and weighs 53.240kg (empty fire body component). The fire box has a large, cavernous (“panoramic”) opening 400mm H x 460mm W (at the base) x 330mm (at the top) and 230mm deep back along each side edge as well allowing for large pieces of wood to be fed into the fire unlike conventional chimineas (which often have small restrictive openings) and as such a provide a large viewing area also to see and enjoy the fire. The fire bed base measures 470mm W x 470mm D giving a generous burning area to enjoy a warm ‘n’ cosy ambient fire.

The AUSSIE VOLCANO CHIMINEA™ “Panorama” model is unrivalled in its quality of build & materials used, design features and applications of use making it truly unique when it comes to heating and cooking outdoors with fire. The unique viewing opening not only is on the front face it also opens up on both of the sides as well resulting in a “panoramic” or wrap around view of the fire inside. The solid door that comes supplied with the chiminea has 2 ergonomic handles for ease of use in both lifting it on or off the chiminea when required.
