The OZSPIT & BBQ™ Stainless Steel Universal Locking Post Spring Clamps are used for height adjustment and safe securing of all OZSPIT & BBQ™ accessories on our “ground spikes” and “extension poles” (below the accessory to prevent slippage). The corresponding diameter vertical support posts/ground spikes (20mm diameter) and extension posts (25mm diameter) in the OZSPIT & BBQ™ range use these “spring clamps”. Each stainless steel universal locking post “spring” clamp is 100% Aussie made using 100% Aussie materials from 3.15mm diameter 304/spring grade stainless steel. To use they are simply  squeezed together (thumb & first finger for example) to allow them to slid up or down and positioned on the support post/ground spike (20mm diameter) or extension post (25mm diameter) where desired then released to firmly lock in position and secure the OZSPIT & BBQ™ accessory above. An original, unique and innovative design allows both springs (20mm & 25mm) to be used in 2 ways. Firstly with the spring end curved tab ends facing down they allow the chosen accessory above to freely rotate 360 degrees. With the spring used in the opposing direction (curved tab ends facing up) they can secure the accessory above in a set position to stop rotation on the support post/ground spike or extension post (which ever one is being used) as our OZSPIT & BBQ™ accessories have an innovative 35mm x 5mm slot specifically precision CNC laser cut into them to locate one of the upward facing tabs and lock it in a set position. The locking accessory is great feature when your set up isn’t completely vertical or unbalanced and you might find the spit motor carrier wanders or in windy conditions when it might get buffeted and also drift away from your fire. Note: Even if used in the locked position (spring and accessory) all that is required to swing (rotate) the accessory is to slightly lift (take some weight off the accessory and move it slowly up the support post/ground spike or extension post and then you can still rotate that accessory, returning  it to the locked position if so desired.
