The OZSPIT & BBQ™ Solid 20mm Diameter Support Posts/Ground Spikes are available in 3 material options, “XP” mild steel (HA 350 grade), “SS” stainless steel (304 food grade) and “AE”aluminium (machine grade 2011 T3). They are all available in 3 set lengths as well 800mm, 1000mm and 1200mm respectively. They are what form the backbone of the OZSPIT & BBQ™ portable spit rotisserie cooking system over fire. All have a tapered pointed end for driving into the ground and a chamfered end to easily slip all of the OZSPIT & BBQ™ accessories over at the top for cooking over your fire. To secure the accessories safely in position on the “ground spikes” (preventing them sliding or slipping down) a 20mm stainless steel universal locking spring post clamp is required under each accessory. All OZSPIT & BBQ™ accessories used on the 20mm diameter “ground spike” come complete with this 20mm “spring clamp”.
So what happens when you can’t drive the “ground spike” into the ground such as in hard rocky ground, on concrete, on pavers, on timber decks or even if you can on unstable soft ground?
