The Slot Me In™ “Cantilever Grills” are available as optional individual accessories for both the Aussie Inferno Chiminea™ and Aussie Inferno Chiminea Middy™ respectively.

Designed specifically for the AUSSIE INFERNO CHIMINEA™ and AUSSIE INFERNO CHIMINEA MIDDY™ these “cantilever grills” are made from a combination of 12mm and 10mm solid round 304 food grade stainless steel bar in both models, Aussie Inferno Chiminea™ and Aussie Inferno Chiminea Middy™. They sit and are guided by the addition of two internal opposite rails fixed inside their respective chiminea bodies. The rails act as a rigid rest and positive locating mechanism for the grills to slide on and cantilever from. 

Unlike a simple grill just resting on supporting rails each cantilever grill has a unique secondary under bar that allows the grill to be removed almost completely from the chiminea body yet remain horizontal (“cantilevered”) and be able to be loaded with your chosen cookware and produce and reinserted back into the chiminea for cooking. Of course, the cantilever grills can be removed completely when required leaving only the supporting rails fixed in place. As the supporting rails are of an open design full drafting and efficient burning of fuel in the chiminea is not affected in anyway.

All previously purchased models of Aussie Inferno Chiminea™ and Aussie Inferno Chiminea Middy™ can be retrofitted with the new cantilever grill supporting rails too to enable use of the optional cantilever grill. As a new purchase this is now a factory fitted standard option (supporting rails) installed at the Slot Me In™ factory prior to shipping out. The choice is then yours if you would like the cantilever grill at the same time or purchase it later.

Australia's own original and unique range of “INFERNO” chimineas by Slot Me In™ now have become amazing cooking marvels and not just solely an ambient heating source. Any number of superb cooking styles can be achieved from a simple wood fired pizza oven (with full size pizza stone capacity), camp oven cooking, low ‘n’ slow smoking/roasting, baking, grilling and much more.

With the “cantilever grills” in place there is ample space underneath to continue adding firewood in both size chimineas, 190mm under the “grill” of the Aussie Inferno Chiminea Middy™ and 235mm under the “grill” of the Aussie Inferno Chiminea™. There is ample room too above the “grills” 140mm and 260mm for the Aussie Inferno Chiminea Middy™ and Aussie Inferno Chiminea™ respectively also.

The “cantilever grills” have bar spacings of 20mm to allow even heat flow around and through them not restricting the fire below and made for a lifetime of enjoyment 100% Australian made using 100% Australian materials by a 100% Australian owned and operated business.

The “cantilever grill” sizes and specifications are as follows:

• Aussie Inferno Chiminea Middy Cantilever Grill™ (345mm W x 395mm D x 32mm H and weighs 3.400kg) 
• Aussie Inferno Chiminea Cantilever Grill™ (540mm W x 605mm D x 32mm H and weighs 7.500kgs)

For best all-round cooking results if selecting the optional cantilever grill packages (Aussie Inferno Chiminea or Aussie Inferno Chiminea Middy) we recommend the accompanying vented door option as well. With the vented door model options all cooking styles can be achieved and enhance the control of the burn in the chiminea by regulating the flow of oxygen into the burning chamber.
