Slot Me In

This month sees the release of our Slot Me In™ “GRILLZIT™” Combo Kit (previously only available as the Slot Me In™ “GRILLZIT™”). We have now added (apart from the stainless steel bar grill and 4 removable support legs), a heavy duty transit/storage bag made from transport grade tonneau material, our stainless steel “GRIP ‘N’ FLIP™” bbq tool, universal fire poker/camp oven lifter and a pair of heavy duty leather heat resistant safety gloves combining all together to make this fantastic and very simple over the fire cooking “flat pack” kit. It will now only be available as a complete combo kit. Existing owners of the Slot Me In™ Grillzit™ can still add the other accessories to make up this kit if so required as they are all available separately on our website store.

So, what’s with the name “GRILLZIT™”? well put simply that’s what it does best “GRILLS IT”. It’s a back to basics “bullet proof” & “no fuss” portable extra heavy duty grill for use over a ground fire. Simply slide the 4 removeable 6mm thick precision CNC laser cut 304 grade stainless steel legs into position (on each corner) on our modified 456mm W x 485mm L x 12mm H stainless steel 304 food grade solid bar grill and place the assembled unit over the coals of a ground fire and you’re ready to cook directly on the grill or alternatively use the grill to support camp ovens, fry pans, billy’s, kettle’s or any other fireproof cooking vessel for that matter. The stainless steel bar grill component of the kit is made from 6mm solid round 304 food grade stainless steel bar material with the bars at 25mm centres.

The Slot Me In™ Grillzit™ sits 200mm above the ground over your ground fire supported by our unique 4 reversable legs slightly angled outwards in both directions and will easily support a heavy camp oven or similar cooking vessel over a ground fire. Of course, you can cook produce directly on the grill too for that smokey char-grilled taste you can only get from cooking over a fire. In keeping with our name SLOT ME IN™ the legs just “slot” onto the bar grill to set up and off when finished with NO TOOLS OR FIXINGS REQUIRED FOR ASSEMBLY OR DISMANTLE. Care should be taken when removing the grill from the fire and allow it to cool down before disassembly and packing away, use both the gloves provided and the universal fire poker/camp oven lifting tool to lift the grill assembly both on and off the ground fire.

When packed in the storage/transit bag the entire kit weighs just 5.950kg and measures 550mm W x 500mm L x 30mm H making it a real lightweight and space saving versatile take anywhere cooking kit for use over ground fires. Another bonus is if you have a compact “flat pack” fire pit such as one our Wedge Fire Pits™ the bar grill can also be used on it too. The entire Slot Me In™ Grillzit™ Combo Kit is 100% Australian made using 100% Australian materials too by Slot Me In, a 100% Australian owned family business.

The reversable legs have 2 slot lengths as well, the longer slot length for the bar grill (“GRILLZIT”) and the shorter slot can be used our SLOT ME IN™ 550 UFO™ & SLOT ME IN™ 600 UFO™ (round full hot plate & 50/50 round combo hot plate/grill model options in the 550 model & 60/40 round combo grill/hot plate in the 600 model respectively) for over ground fire cooking.
