This month we are proud to release another model of rocket stove to our range and introduce the all new SLOT ME IN™ Aussie Rocket Stove SS™ Combo Kit, which made its debut at MELBOURNE LEISUREFEST 2018 which was held October 4 -7. Yes it’s based on our first model rocket stove except now it is available as a complete “combo kit” in 304 18/10 food grade stainless steel with heavy duty canvas storage bag. It’s again another first here in Australia by SLOT ME IN™. It’s the FIRST & ONLY true and total FLAT PACK stainless steel rocket stove & windshield combo with heavy duty canvas storage bag available commercially in stores (authorized SLOT ME IN™ distributors ) or direct from SLOT ME IN ™ Australia wide.
Made in house by SLOT ME IN™ using 100% Aussie materials right here in Australia it’s another great Aussie product now available from the SLOT ME IN™ range of products (you will find it listed under the link “FIRE PITS & ACCESSORIES” on our website).

FLAT PACK
Being a flat pack design means the SLOT ME IN™ Aussie Rocket Stove SS™ Combo Kit won’t take up valuable space in your 4×4, camper trailer, caravan, vehicle or even touring motor bike. In fact it will fit in the smallest of spaces like under your seat or even in the glove box of some vehicles.

At only 4.72 kg (rocket stove 3kg, windshield 1.6kg and bag 0.12kg) the SLOT ME IN™ Aussie Rocket Stove SS™ Combo Kit is light enough to put in your backpack and take anywhere with you on your next adventure, whether BACKYARD, BUSH or BEYOND™.
QUALITY & MATERIAL
The SLOT ME IN™ Aussie Rocket Stove SS™ Combo Kit (rocket stove & windshield) are precision laser cut using Australia’s finest 2mm thick (rocket stove) and 1.6mm thick (windshield) 304 18/10 food grade stainless steel to ensure they are robust and durable for their intended use giving you trouble free service. Like the previous existing SLOT ME IN™ Aussie Rocket Stove XP™ model and windshield considerable research, development and testing by us and in conjunction also with metallurgists at BlueScope Steel lead us to this additional material option and model.
They both (rocket stove and windshield) carry our identifying SLOT ME IN logo encased in a map of Australia which is laser etched on both so you know it’s the genuine article and not an inferior copy.
The heavy duty canvas storage bag is just that too, it’s made from tough 12oz Australian canvas which is double seam stitched on the binding and has a sealing Velcro top opening to keep it sealed. It’s tough and durable to keep the full kit all together when in transit or being stored when not required. No cheap and nasty hessian bags here often found with inferior copies of our products. Our bags are made to last and perform, that’s why we use Aussie canvas.
COOK MORE WITH LESS FUEL
The unique design of the SLOT ME IN™ Aussie Rocket Stove SS™ produces exceptional heat with very little fuel consumed. An entire meal can be cooked with just a handful of sticks, twigs, bark or even leaves, thanks to our unique “Air Chute Ratio” design.
HOW IT WORKS
The SLOT ME IN™ Aussie Rocket Stove SS™ is a hot burning rocket stove requiring only a small amount of solid fuel to produce a great amount of heat. The fuel can be dry plant matter such as sticks, twigs, bark and even leaves. It consists of a combined vertical “chimney” and angled but divided “air chute” and “fuel feeder”. The chimney creates a “draft” which draws fresh air into the combustion chamber beneath the burning fuel via the air chute.
The air is preheated as it travels through the air chute to the combustion chamber, which maintains a higher combustion temperature. This along with the draft of the chimney leads to a cleaner burn and ensures almost complete combustion prior to the flames reaching the cooking surface.
DIMENSIONS & DESIGN
Small enough to go anywhere yet big enough to cook an entire meal for the whole family on the SLOT ME IN™ Aussie Rocket Stove SS™ stands 315 mm high x 250mm wide (logo side on) x 85mm wide (facing the “fuel feed” and “air intake” chutes) with an impressive cookware support diameter of 230mm when fully assembled (without the windshield attached). With the windshield option attached the overall assembled height is 470mm, the width (viewed from the “fuel feed” and “air intake” chutes) increasing to 220mm wide and the internal (now 3 side shielded) cookware support diameter still an impressive 205 mm. Height of the shielded internal protected sides above the cookware support bars is 155mm.
Packed “FLAT” it’s just over 14mm (1.4cm) “THIN” (both rocket stove & windshield together) , making it an incredible “SPACE SAVER” taking up next to no room in your 4×4, camper trailer, caravan, vehicle or touring motor bike. The footprint in the heavy duty canvas storage bag is 350mm x 320 mm and 15mm “THIN” at a total weight of 4.72kg. You won’t notice it’s even there with your camping gear and may have to do a double check to see you have packed it. I had a bigger pencil case when I was school.
Its unique design incorporates a series of “slots and tags” and requires NO TOOLS OR FIXINGS FOR ASSEMBLY going together in UNDER 1 MINUTE. There are 10 pieces making up the rocket stove and a further 3 pieces for the windshield each having its own distinct coupling (slot & tag position) to ensure simple assembly so it all goes together with the minimum of fuss every time. Put simply each part has only one position it can fit in so there can be no mix ups or confusion when it comes to assembly. Then of course there is the quality heavy duty canvas storage bag that it all packs into as well when in transit or not being used keeping the whole “COMBO KIT” together.
A very handy feature on the SLOT ME IN™ Aussie Rocket Stove SS™ is the removable sliding base plate. When the fire has finished and cooled down after use you simply slide it out to clear the combustion chamber of any ash. This eliminates tipping and shaking the assembled unit upside down. There are also 2 handy tag holes in this base plate on each side that can be pinned to soft ground using 2 small tent pegs providing a secure and stable cooking stove platform.
With the windshield attached to the rocket stove valuable heat reaching the cooking surface is concentrated and minimizes the cook time (especially handy if boiling the billy for that early morning cuppa at camp or for some water to wash up the dishes). And as its name suggests the windshield component is very handy in open windy conditions where conventional type open rocket stoves struggle to perform efficiently, another ORIGINAL and UNIQUE design by SLOT ME IN™ where we are “the innovators not the imitators”. It’s also great as a splash guard if cooking with oils in low sided fry pans or skillets as the 3 sides encase the cookware accessory being used.

USES & VERSATILITY
The SLOT ME IN™ Aussie Rocket Stove SS™ can be used for a variety of cooking and heating purposes. You can boil the billy for a cuppa on it or for some hot water to wash up the dishes with after cooking up a meal on it prior, using an array of cookware on it such as fry pans, skillets, hot plates and the like.
It uses very minimal solid fuel (twigs, sticks, bark and even leaves) and as such will be a great asset when out camping, helping conserve fuel and energy collecting when collecting it also. It also eliminates the need for disposable butane fuel cylinder type camp cookers and subsequent disposal issues of empty cylinders as well.
